제1장 총칙 Preamble
제 1조 본 학회는 여과와 분리에 관한 기술의 발전, 연구 및 보급을 도모하여 관련 산업의 진흥에 기여함을 목적으로 한다. The missions of KFS shall aim 1) to promote collaboration among relevant entities (universities, government agencies, industry, and professional societies) in the field of Filtration and Separation, 2) to network among the affiliated organizations.
제 2조 본 학회는 비영리단체로 한국여과분리학회 라 칭한다. 영어로 “Korean Filtration and Separation Society” 이며 약자로 KFS라 칭한다. The organization shall be named the Korean Filtration and Separation Society and simplified as KFS, a nonprofit organization.
제 3조 본회는 서울특별시에 사무소를 둔다. The office of KFS shall be located in Seoul, Korea.
제 4조 본회는 제 1조의 목적달성을 위하여 다음의 사업을 행한다. The following activities shall be performed in order to achieve the KFS’s mission stated above.
(1) 연례학술회의개최, Annual Technical Conference (2) 워크샵, 단기코스 강습회 개최, Workshops and Short Course Offerings (3) 기술 용역 업무, Technology Transfer and Job Information (4) 연구의 장려 및 기술보급의 표창, Research Stimulation and Innovative Product Acknowledgement (5) 기타 본회의 목적달성에 필요한 사업. 제2장 회원 Membership

제 5조 본회의 회원은 본회의 취지에 찬동하며 본회 소정의 입회원서와 회비를 내어야 한다. A person shall become a member upon approval of its application for membership and payment of annual dues.
제 6조 본회는 다음과 같은 회원을 둔다. Membership Categories (1) 회원: 여과와 분리에 학식과 경험을 가진 자, Regular Member: Those who have expertise and experience in Filtration and Separation field. (2) 학생회원: 대학의 학생으로 여과와 분리의 학문을 배우고 있는 자. Student Member: Full time students in Filtration and Separation field. (3) 명예회원: 본회의 목적에 관하여 공적이 있는 자. Honorary Member: Those who have records for research and/or service to KFS.
제 7조 (회원의 권리) 본회의 회원은 소정의 년 회비를 내야 회원으로서 권리를 갖는다. 명예회원은 년 회비를 내지 않아도 된다. Upon payment of an annual due, a member shall have a privilege of voting and other rights as a member. Honorary members may waive their annual dues.

제2장 회원 Membership

제 8조 (회원의 탈퇴) 본회의 탈퇴를 희망하는 회원은 회원사퇴서를 제출함으로써 탈퇴한다. Resignation: Any member may resign by submitting a written resignation letter.
제 9조 (회원의 자격정지) 본회의 회원으로서 다음 각 호에 해당하는 자는 임원회를 거쳐 회장이 제명한다. A membership can be terminated by the chair following BOD’s decision based on reasons below: 1. 본회 회원으로서 회비를 내지 않은자. A person who has not paid an annual due. 2. 본회의 목적에 위배되는 행위, 명예를 훼손하는 행위를 한 자. A person who violates the KFS missions and/or denigrates the KFS.

제3장 임원 Board of Directors (BOD)

제 10조 (임원의 종류) 본회의 임원은 회장, 수석부회장, 부회장, 재무, 감사 와 평이사로 한다. Board of Directors shall consist of Chair, First Vice- Chair, Second Vice-Chair, Treasurer, Auditor (Executive Committee) and Board of Trustees.
제 11조 (임원의 임기) 임원의 임기는 1년으로 하며 연임 할 수 있다. 수석부회장은 다음 회장이되며 부회장은 수석부회장이 된다. The term of officers shall be one year and may serve consecutive terms. First Vice-Chair shall become Chair and Second Vice-Chair shall become First Vice-Chair.
제 12조 (집행위원회) 집행위원회는 회장, 수석부회장, 부회장, 재무와 감사로 구성되며 임시 임원회의 역할을 한다. Executive Committee shall consist of Chair, First Vice-Chair, Second Vice-Chair, Treasurer and Auditor and shall serve as” Interim” for Board of Directors.

제3장 임원 Board of Directors (BOD)

제 13조 (임원의 선출 방법) 1. 부회장은 회원의 추천을 받아 현 임원 두 분의 승인을 받은 후 전자메일로 전 회원이 투표 하여 선출한다. Second Vice-Chair shall be nominated by a member of KFS and approved by two current officers, and elected via email ballot. 2. 재무와 감사는 집행위원회에서 선택한다. Treasurer and Auditor shall be appointed by Executive Committee 3. 소수의 평이사는 후원기업의 대표로 구성된다. The board of trustees shall consist of company representatives from corporate sponsors. 4. 임기 중 임원의 해임은 회원의 요청이 있을 때 집행위원회에서 결정하고 전자메일 투표로 보결 선출한다. Upon receipt of a petition for termination signed by a member, an executive member will be terminated based on a majority vote (BOD), and replaced by email ballot.

제3장 임원 Board of Directors (BOD)

제 14조 (임원의 의무) 1. 회장은 본회를 대표하며 총괄하며 임원회, 집행위원회의 의장이 된다. Chair shall be the Chief Executive Officer of the Society, represent the Society, and preside at all meetings of the Society. He or she shall act as Chair of the Board of Directors. 2. 수석부회장은 회장을 보좌하며 회장의 유고시에는 회장의 의무를 대행한다. In the event when the Chair is not available (absence, incapacitation, resignation, or death), the First Vice-Chair shall exercise all the function of the Chair. 3. 부회장은 회장과 수석부회장의 유고시에는 회장의 의무를 대행한다. In the event when both the Chair and the First Vice-Chair are not available (absence, incapacitation, resignation, or death), the Second Vice-Chair shall exercise all the function of the Chair. He or she shall consult with the Board of Directors and participate in the affairs of the First Vice-Chair. 4. 부회장은 수석부회장을 보좌하며 수석부회장의 유고시에는 수석부회장 의무를 대행한다. In the event of a vacancy in the office of First Vice-Chair, caused by death, resignation, or incapacity of the First Vice-Chair, the Second Vice-Chair shall fill such vacancy. 5. 부회장의 유고시에는 부회장을 전자메일로 전 회원이 투표 하여 선출한다. In the event of a vacancy in the office of Second Vice-Chair, the Board of Directors may elect a Second Vice-Chair by email ballot.

제3장 임원 Board of Directors (BOD)

제 15조 (재무와 감사의 의무) 1. 재무는 본회의 재산을 담당한다. Treasurer shall have the custody of all the funds and property of the Society. 2. 감사는 본회의 재산사항을 감사하고 부정 또는 불법이 있을때는 집행위원회나 임원회에 알린다. Auditor shall audit all the funds and property of the Society, and notify to Executive Committee or BOD if any illegal activities exist.

제4장 임원회 Board of Directors Meeting

제 16조 임원회는 다음 사항을 의결한다. BOD shall approve the following items. 1. 사업계획 승인과 업무집행에 관한 사항 Annual Activity Plan and Execution 2. 사업계획 운영에 관한 사항 Management and Operation of Activities 3. 예산 및 결산의 승인과 그 집행에 관한 사항 Yearly Budget and Expenditure 4. 규정, 세칙, 지침 등의 제정 및 개정에 관한 사항 Amendment of Bylaws, Setting up Guidelines 5. 기타 중요 사항 Other Important Items
제 17조 (임원회의 소집) 1. 임원회는 년 1회로 정기학술회중에 가진다. An annual BOD meeting shall take place during the annual technical conference. 2. 정적수는 임원의 과반수 이상으로 한다. A quorum of BOD meeting shall consist of at least half of BOD members.
제5장 자산 및 회계 Funds and property of the Society
제 18조 (재정) 본회의 재정은 다음과 같다. Society Finance 1. 회비 Membership Dues 2. 찬조비 (후원기업을 포함) Donation including corporate sponsorship and endowment 3. 전시회 공간 판매 Exhibition Booth Sale 4. 기타 수입 Miscellaneous Income
